Ski and Snowboard Rental FAQ
Rental equipment can be picked up as early as 2:00 P.M. the day before or the morning of your trip to Brian Head or Eagle Point Ski Resort.
All ski and snowboard equipment rentals must be returned by noon the day after you finish skiing or snowboarding. This makes it convenient for you to drop off the equipment on your way home from Brian Head or Eagle Point ski resorts if you are staying overnight at the resort.
This is a hard question. We want to be fair and kind, while also making sure that we are not being taken advantage of. Our general rule is that if you are unable to use our gear for a reason that is outside of your control, we will offer a 50 percent refund at our discretion. We are not required to offer a refund but generally we will, if you are nice and honest about the situation.
Making a reservation will help you out in two ways. First, it will save you time when you get to the shop. Instead of doing paperwork when you arrive, you can start getting fitted as soon as a ski technician is available to help you. Each customer will still need to get fitted for boots, boards, helmets, and apparel upon arrival. Secondly, making a reservation will ensure that we will have equipment available for you. Reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance to guarantee equipment is available.
Yes, reservations can be changed or canceled at any time.
Lost and stolen gear is the renter's responsibility to replace although we will do everything that we can to find or recover your gear. Damaged gear is also the renter's responsibility unless the customer has paid for rental insurance. Rental insurance covers up to 80 dollars worth of repairable damage.

Season Rentals FAQ
Cedar Sports begins renting skis and snowboards for the season on September 1st of each winter season. We send out our best equipment first and we typically sell out of most of our packages before Christmas.
The first thing to do is to stop using the equipment. Trying to ski or ride on damaged boots, bindings, skis, or boards can be extremely dangerous. The next thing is to contact us and explain the situation. Ultimately, your rental is your responsibility to take care of but if you are honest and upfront with us, we will always do our best to replace or repair your equipment for the lowest price possible.
The good news is that this does not happen very often, and when it does, it is usually just a mix-up with equipment that can be easily sorted out. In the rare case that equipment is truly lost or stolen, it is the renter's responsibility to pay for the replacement of the lost or stolen equipment.
The end of ski season at Brian Head is usually in the middle of April. We require season rentals to be returned by June 1st. Late fees will be charged for any equipment returned after June 1st.

Service FAQ
Waxes
A friction wax is what you want if you don't have much time or much money. It's cheaper than a hot wax but will only last for 2-5 days on the snow.
A hot wax costs a bit more and takes us a little bit more time but is more durable, faster, and protects yours skis better than a friction wax.
Our turn around time is guaranteed to be less than 24 hours. If you need it faster than that, then you can pay an extra $5.00 to have your equipment expedited.
If we have the staff available, we can get it done while you wait. A friction wax will take about 5 minutes while a hot wax will take about 15 minutes.
To properly care for your equipment, you should have your skis or snowboard waxed at the beginning of each season, at the end of each season, and through out the season as needed.

Cross Country Skis
We can apply an all-temp wax to a waxless cross-country ski. We are not currently equipped to do any special waxing, or conditioning on cross country skis.
We can mount bindings on cross-country skis that are either pre-drilled or that are using a Rottefella binding.
